CONTACT USA Board and Committee members are available to help you in designing and implementing training for your staff and volunteers. Consultation by phone is free to member agencies. In-person training workshops have fees associated and there is a discounted rate for member agencies.
Basic Crisis Line Training
To qualify for CONTACT USA accreditation, an agency's basic training program must consist of a minimum of 32 hours, to include: at least 16 hours of face-to-face instruction, role-play, and at least 8 hours of supervised apprenticeship. Training curriculum is based on our "Core Competencies", and is conducted over a five-day period by two trainers. OES Training (chat and text)
Training for new OES specialists is done over a minimum of four hours by one trainer. One or two training sessions can be completed during a visit to your agency.
